Tipaklong-UPLB Pilot Project
Tipaklong deployed the vehicles on April 22, 2024 and officially launched on 1 June 2024. This allowed Tipaklong to debut it's technology backed Sharing Mobility System to the UP Los Baños community and residents of Los Baños and adjoining municipalities.
Providing Sustainable Mobility
At Tipaklong, we believe that getting from A to B should be fun, affordable and sustainable. With our pay per use, daily/weekly and monthly passes and long-term subscription services, users can easily move around and explore the campus with a mechanical bike, electric bike and electric kick-scooters. Tipaklong has successfully done 11,579 rides as of October 17, 2024. These rides have had a significant impact in avoiding CO2 emissions. Tipaklong has reduced 4,191 KG of CO2 emissions in 6 months since launch!
Mobility Hubs
Tipaklong has also made multiple ties with the community ensuring that all Mobility Hubs are located in popular destinations for students and faculty to fully utilize the system for mobility. As of date Tipaklong has 29 Mobility Hubs around campus (including a couple of hubs in IRRI) where Tipaklong bikes and scooters can be used.
